Blues Guitar Lesson
This blues guitar lesson demonstrates the basic 12 bar blues form.
The most commonly used blues 'form' consists of 12 bars that are repeated over and over. This is known as the
"12-bar-blues".
Here, I have written out the 12 bar blues guitar lesson in the key of C. And have provided some blues midi
backing tracks for you to play along with.
The chords are C, C7, F7 and G7 for all tracks. If you are learning to solo, you can try using the Am pentatonic scale. (Also known as the C Major pentatonic.)
You can also use the C minor pentatonic which is the basis of the C Blues scale.
Also try the C major scale and the Bb major scale (Dorian mode).

Tune your guitar first. I have "borrowed" this from
Jon Finn.

The blues is traditionally a 12 bar form. That is, you play the 12 bars and just keep repeating them as long as
you like.
Here's some minor blues. These are in A minor. So you can use the same
Aminor/CMajor pentatonic scale. The notes in the scale are A, C, D, E, G. The notes in the A blues scale are A, C,
D, Eb, E, G.
The chords are Am, Dm and Em.
